Healthy habits ? Yes, of course we want them. We all want to live lives which are as long and as healthy as possible.
However, it’s often difficult cultivating the right habits to achieve this. Many of us start out all hyped-up with good intentions, only to fall into a rut days later.

Here, we will be looking at 8 habits you can adopt which are sure to make a lasting difference to your health.

1. Find A Workout Partner
Of course, exercise is important if you want to stay healthy. We all know that. But we don’t do it consistently, or have simply given up!
Now’s the time to pull up your socks and just simply get going.
Do at least three half-hour sessions every week. Get a combination of cardiovascular and strength training workouts.
The more varied the exercise, the better it’s for you.
However, your workout motivation is more likely to last if you do it with a buddy. Find someone to exercise with ~ it is a passport to success. Workout with a buddy you feel comfortable with ~ this could make all the difference to your exercise regime.
2. Drink Water Before Every Meal
Water is vitally essential to your health and well-being. Our bodies are made-up of 75% water.
However, many people do not drink sufficient water on a daily basis.
Often, this is because we fool ourselves that we are drinking sufficient water by consuming the likes of tea, coffee, juices, sodas and alcohol. This is certainly not the same as drinking water.
Luckily, there are easy ways to put water into your life. Before you know it, drinking water regularly will become a way of life for you as you feel better, look healthier and begin to radiate good health.
- Simply drink a glass of water half-an-hour before every meal. This will prepare you for your upcoming meal. It will also help with better digestion.
- Drink another glass of water an hour after your meal, and not before.
- Drink a glass of water every hour
3. Fill Up On Iron
Iron is one of the most important minerals for our continued good heatlh. But most people do not have anywhere near enough iron. With a lack, you are more likely to suffer from fatigue and even depression.
Iron also boosts muscle strength, making your strength workouts much more effective.
Keeping your iron levels up will dramatically increase your energy levels.
Eat lots of oatmeal, lentils and lean meats to introduce more iron into your body.
4. Take Medicinal Marijuana
Marijuana can be beneficial for your health. One of the biggest reasons to incorporate marijuana into your life is that it helps to reduce the carcinogenic effects of tobacco.

5. Drink Red Wine in Moderation
While we are on the subject of surprising great health ingredients, let’s not forget red wine. Drinking this beverage in moderation does actually contribute to your good health.
One or two glasses have been shown to have numerous benefits. So abstinence from this wonderful drink is not always in your best interests.
Drink sensibly and responsibly, and you should experience considerable health benefits.
6. Cut Back On Sugar
As a rule of thumb, processed foods are not for your health – and that definitely applies to sugar. Granulated sugar, in particular, is full of empty calories. If you consume a lot of sugar, it is high time to make a change.
It’s possible to eat delicious foods without using sugar. You could consider using alternative natural sweeteners like palm sugar and molasses. Many of these are much better for your general health, as well as being better for you teeth.
7. Limit Your Phone Use
There is growing evidence to suggest that using phones and other digital devices is bad for you.
There are many ways in which these items affect your health.
The light from the screens can contribute to poorer sleep. The light inhibits the production of melatonin in the brain (the chemical that helps to regulate your sleeping patterns).
While other effects are more direct – screen use has already been linked to a rise in depression. Limiting your phone use is likely to make you feel more energetic, happier – and less enslaved.
Meditation is the simple act of sitting quietly and observing your breath. It might not sound revolutionary, but doing this for ten minutes every other day can change your life.
