Auto Immune Health Aids
Living with a disease like HIV or AIDS is never easy. Both sufferers and carers experience an enormous amount of pain and heartache.
Modern medicine has made life easier for HIV sufferers. Many more are now able to cope with the symptoms and live a long and healthy life.
However, there are many people who refuse current medication and who aim to combat the disease holistically, through diet and healthy practices.
There have been natural remedies for the Ebola virus, so why not ones for any other debilitating diseases?
When dealing with HIV or AIDS, people in Kenya look for effective ways to boost first the immune system. As viruses are autoimmune conditions, it makes sense to take care of your health using your own immune system.
For those suffering from a debilitating disease, there are indicators to improve on. They are:
- Your appetite – do you have a poor appetite?
- Your digestion – are you having difficulty in digesting your food at all?
- Your body temperature – are you feeling chilly all of the time?
- Your quality of sleep – do you have a bad’s night sleep and wake up feeling groggy?
- Your liver – do you feel “sluggish” or do you have unhealthy skin, yellow in colour?
- Your intestines – do you feel constipated or your stools are unhealthy?
These factors are linked to the “modern” health dilemma: poor nutrition and stress. The modern world is rife with processed foods which, when consumed, affect our health detrimentally. Stress is another massive negative factor affecting our immune system.
Addressing and balancing the above factors can help you to live an improved life.
If you have a partner or carer and you worry about them, there are common-sense approaches to take. These include taking out life insurance for hiv positive individuals. Such insurance policies are now quite common place. Living with a disease is stressful, and it is stressful on your significant other. Taking out a policy will help to reduce that stress.
Reducing your stress levels is a MUST. The above six indicators are a baseline which health professionals use to assess a patient’s state of health.
There are many medicinal herbs and foods which can be used to help balance these 6 factors. The team at Abha Light Foundation in Kenya deal with HIV and AIDS patients every day. They have created a recipe called Pilpili Dawa (Hot Stuff) using medicinal foods.
Pilpili Dawa (Hot Stuff)
Immune System Builder
1 litre of vinegar (either plain or apple cider), which balances the PH
3 whole garlic bulbs, which has antibiotic properties
1 piece of ginger, which promotes digestion and has medicinal properties for the lungs and intestines
2 tablespoons of turmeric, which is a blood builder
4 tablespoons of fresh chillies, which raises body temperature, aids digestion, helps with sleep
125 grammes of blackstrap molasses, which is high in vitamins and minerals
Simply grind, blend or mix the ingredients and marinade for a week. Sieve out the solid bits to give you a lovely “medicine” which you can sprinkle over your food. 1 to 3 tablespoons a day will help with your immune system.
