Many of us don’t even think about keeping our gallbladder healthy! Or that we even have such an organ! They don’t really know what it is.
It’s high time to get to know this organ well. You will know it if something goes wrong. After all, gallstones can be one of the most painful things you could experience. If you have gallstone disease, it can often lead to the removal of the gallbladder.
Below are 5 warning signs of a gallbladder problem, and what to do about it.
Pain in the abdomen
Diagnosing pain in the abdomen can be a challenge. There can be that many reasons for pain in that area. You could have stomach bug or perhaps you are pregnant.
However, if the pain is in the mid or upper right, there’s a chance it could be your gallbladder. It’s also worth noting that the pain might start in your chest and back as well if it is an issue with your gallbladder.
So, if the pain gets worse, it’s time to go to see your doctor. He will do some checks so that he can rule out other issues. And then he can look into treatment to help stop the pain.
Jaundice (yellowing of the skin)
When we think about people going yellow, we most likely to think about people with liver issues. After all, when the liver fails, the person tends to get jaundice.
However, if this happens to you, it could mean there is a blockage in your bile ducts caused by gallstones.
In this case, you should head to the hospital immediately so that they can do some tests. If you are diagnosed with gallstone disease, the likely procedure will be an operation to remove both the gallstones and the gallbladder.
The surgeon will most likely use laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures to remove the gallbladder. This is a less painful procedure.
Breathe a sigh of relief….you will be happy to know it’s possible to live a happy and healthy life without a gallbladder!
Just like pain in the abdomen, the symptom of fever is a challenge. After all, if you are shaking and cold, it could easily be down to the common flu.
However, as this article says, a fever does signal an infection in the body. Therefore, if this fever does occur alongside other issues, it’s worth considering that you may have a gallbladder prolem. It’s best then to head to the doctor’s to confirm the cause of this fever.
Remember it’s so important to ensure you are eating a healthy diet so that you can avoid problems with your gallbladder. Having plenty of healthy fats and fruit and vegetables can keep it functioning properly. And as we said before, garlic is ideal for regularizing the gallbladder’s function!
