Your Good Health Guidelines
3 Areas Overdosing is not a good idea!
.
If you ever wonder which things are good for your health and which are bad, don’t worry. You’ll always have reminders, in the form of articles that pop up everywhere.
.
“How much water do you drink a day? That’s nowhere near enough, drink more! Still not enough!”
.
“Why you think your diet is fine, but you’re completely missing this one vital ingredient!”
.
“Go on, eat kale. Please?”
.
The good news is this: the things they say are healthy are still healthy. One thing they’re not so good at is subtlety in the messages. We often hear about people with unhealthy relationships with food. But if ours is unhealthy, some of the mainstream media’s is downright obsessive!
.
What this leads to is very black-and-white messages on topics which have several shades of gray. Yes, we should be getting enough of several things. What we need to be focusing on just as much is not going to the extreme. This is because in such cases, the results can be as bad as not getting enough.

Here Comes The Sun … Now Go Away, Sun.
.
One of the first external signs which makes us think someone isn’t well is her complexion.
.
If someone looks pale, wan and even sweaty, then we start to mentally class this person as unhealthy. On the other hand, if someone else is tanned and glowing, we give them a mental mark of approval.
.
The health benefits of sunlight are not to be ignored. You just need to be careful not to go to the extreme.
,
If you’ve been exposed to more sun than usual, check yourself for moles which may become problematic. If you find something which worries you, check out skin screening clinics for more information.

Water, Water Everywhere … Now Drink It! Now Stop!
.
Drinking sufficient water is good for us. We know that, but this doesn’t stop nearly every third article in magazines asking “Are you drinking enough water?”
.
It can get to the point where you think “I was sure I was, but maybe I should have even more?”.
.
Keeping your water levels topped up throughout the day is vitally important. Nobody will disagree with that.
.
But yes, there is such a thing as too much, and it can make you very ill. Even a little too much can flush vital minerals out of your system. It’s a very unpleasant feeling – you’ll feel weak, nauseous and light-headed.

Caffeine Rush? Go On, But Not Too Much
.
One thing we all know we can get too much of is coffee. On waking in the morning, it is the first thing many of us reach for.
.
So, for real, how much is OK, and how much is in the danger zone?
.
Well, according to studies, 400mg of caffeine is a reasonable daily limit. Unless you’re a child. In which case it’s “none”. 400mg is about as much as is in four cups of coffee or ten cans of cola.
.
It’s as much as is in two cans of energy drink. If you need your caffeine fix, getting it from coffee is better. (Energy drinks and cola are very bad for health.)
.
How much caffeine is too much caffeine? Two cups in the morning, one just before lunch and one mid-afternoon to fight off the post-lunch crash… You can move one of the morning cups to the evening if you prefer. But if you do, I have one question. How do you sleep at night?
