Smell and Taste Buds are gone…
When you lose your sense of smell or taste, you may say “Ah…this food just doesn’t taste as good as it did before…“.
You may not be ill, or be down with a cold or something like that. Your wife, or husband, or mother may have spent a whole day cooking up a storm for you, of your favorite dishes and you say, “Well, I don’t smell anything…”
This loss of your sense of smell or taste is an indication of the first symptoms of a zinc deficiency.
The solution is very simple: Step up your intake of zinc.
And tell those lovely folks who love you that their food sure smells and tastes GREAT! A big compliment goes a long way, even if your smell and taste buds are taking a vacation which is, hopefully, temporary.
Fresh oysters are a good source of zinc.
