The REAL STORY behind those famous soda-swilling polar bears
The soda-soft drinks industry makes its profits on sugar addiction. Of course, the companies concerned all balked at the insinuation that their great drinks, drunk the world over, might actually be medically lethal.
In a study made in Japan, researchers tracked the soda consumption of 39,000 middle-aged women and men over a span of 18 years (1990 to 2008). This was done using self-administered questionnaires.
The results of this study was very revealing: The risk of stroke was significantly increased in people who consumed soft drinks on a daily basis as compared to those who drank these same soft drinks rarely, or not at all. In addition, the results indicated that this was especially pronounced among the female participants who suffered from ischemic stroke.
Stroke can be a fatal or debilitating illness. It is the top cause of serious and long-term disability. However, soft drinks are a popular mainstay of today’s modern culture.
Do not think that making the switch to ‘diet’ soft drinks will help. Research indicates that ALL types of soft drinks can set one up for stroke – even the ones with artificial sweeteners. The risk affects both men AND women even if the risks seem higher for women. No one is spared.
Soft drinks are poison in flashy disguise. They are slowly, but surely, killing millions of people all around the world on a daily basis.
