Suffering from Anxiety

We all get anxious from time to time. This is especially the case if work is particularly stressful or we experience something that triggers a phobia or fear.
.

.
It’s true – some people find it very difficult to control their emotions and feelings. As a result, they end up suffering from extreme worries and feelings of anxiety.
.
Suffering from Anxiety.
Sometimes people suffer from anxiety as a symptom of other conditions, such as depression, PTSD, or a panic disorder.
.
But there are also many cases when anxiety manifests on its own.
.
.

  • 2. Difficulty in Concentrating
    .

    .
One shared symptom is a difficulty in concentrating. You might find it increasingly hard to focus on various tasks which you once found very easy.
    .
  • 3. Stress And Dread
    ,
People who suffer from anxiety also have feelings of extreme stress and a sense of dread.
    .
These can often be managed by using
mindful thought techniques and other cognitive behavioral changes.
    .
  • 4. Physical Symptoms
    .
Suffering from Anxiety There are also several physical symptoms that occur when you are suffering from anxiety. These include dizziness, lethargy, muscle tension, nausea, and headaches.

.
So, anxiety should be easy for you to spot once you know all the different possible symptoms.
.
If you are suffering from more than 1 of these symptoms, you will need to see your doctor so that he can diagnose you. You’ll then be eligible for treatments and medication.

How to Treat Anxiety

There are a few different ways anxiety can be treated. Below are 2 of the most common options.

1. Psychological Treatments

Most doctors will prefer to try their patients on some psychological treatments.
.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is, more often than not, the first one that is tried and tested. This method helps the patient put their emotions, feelings and thoughts into perspective. It also encourages them to try and think of their problems in a different way.
.
Normally, a  CBT session takes place weekly usually in the form of an hourly discussion with a counsellor or therapist.

2. Medication

If psychological treatments do not work, you will be put onto a course of medication. Usually, the medicine is just to treat any physical symptoms. However, there is also medication that can fight psychological issues as well.
.
Your doctor will then set up regular consultations so that he or she can review your treatment program. They will then change your medication prescription accordingly.
