Lavender is a calming herb. As such it is an effective herb to use for headaches, especially headaches caused by stress. It is also very good as an anti-depressant, specially when used in conjunction with other remedies.

 It can be used as a strengthening tonic for the nervous system and as an aid for nervous debility and exhaustion.
 .
 As a night-cap, it is excellent, as it can sooth a person and help promote natural sleep.
 .
 Lavender essential oil can be used as a stimulating liniment for easing rheumatic aches and pains.

PREPARATION & DOSAGE
 Infusion
 .
 Add a cup of boiling water to 1 teaspoonful of dried herb (flower).
 Leave to infuse for 10 minutes.  Drink 3 times/day
 .
EXTERNAL USE
 Lavender essential oil should not be ingested.
 It can be inhaled, put in laundry, the bath and rubbed on the skin
 .
